RV in the Ozarks publishes practical, first-hand guides for people planning RV trips to the Missouri and Arkansas Ozarks. If you’ve camped it, driven it, floated it or fished it — and you can help another RVer plan a better trip — we’d love to hear from you.
What we publish
- Campground and RV park reviews based on your own stay, with site numbers, photos and big-rig notes.
- Route guides — scenic drives, grades, fuel stops and where to overnight.
- Activity guides — floating, trout fishing, hiking, caves and attractions near campgrounds.
- RV know-how specific to the Ozarks: boondocking rules, seasonal tips, maintenance and services.
Topic ideas we’d love to see
- A big-rig guide to Corps of Engineers sites on Bull Shoals or Norfork Lake
- Full-time RVing in the Ozarks: winter campgrounds and monthly rates
- Kid-friendly campgrounds near Silver Dollar City
- The best campgrounds for fall color on the Arkansas side
Guidelines
- Original, unpublished work only — 1,200+ words for guides, 700+ for reviews.
- Write from real experience. Include specifics: dates, site numbers, prices you paid and what you’d do differently.
- Photos you own (or have rights to) are strongly preferred — landscape orientation, at least 1,600px wide.
- Fact-check anything that changes (hours, fees, hookups) and link to official sources.
- No AI-spun or rewritten content. We edit every piece for accuracy, clarity and tone.
Links and sponsored content
Contributor articles may include an author bio with one link to your website or social profile. Sponsored posts and link placements for brands, campgrounds and RV businesses are available — they must be genuinely useful to our readers, are clearly labeled as sponsored, and use rel="sponsored" links in line with search engine guidelines.
How it works
- Send your pitch with a proposed headline, a short outline and two or three writing samples.
- We reply within about a week if it’s a fit, with any edits to the angle.
- Submit your draft in Google Docs or Word with your photos.
- We edit, add internal links and publish — then share it with our readers.
